Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its Labor & Employment department in Los Angeles, California. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with at least two years of civil litigation experience who is eager to work on a broad range of labor and employment matters, including single plaintiff employment litigation and wage & hour class actions. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and diverse team handling cutting-edge topics and working with sophisticated clients.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, California

Duties:

  • Handle a wide range of labor and employment matters, including single plaintiff employment litigation and wage & hour class litigation.

  • Conduct discovery, depositions, and motion practice.

  • Prepare cases for trial and assist in trial preparation.

  • Collaborate with partners to develop legal strategies.

  • Manage a caseload of employment litigation matters.

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on employment-related issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in employment litigation.

  • Experience with FEHA, agency complaints, wage & hour matters, and other employment-related issues.

  • Strong experience in conducting discovery, depositions, and motion work.

  • Willingness to collaborate with partners and grow professionally within the firm.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in California.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of labor and employment law.

  • Proficient in handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice.

  • Experience in preparing cases for trial.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
