A reputable labor and employment litigation firm is seeking a skilled Labor and Employment Attorney to join their team in a full-time, hybrid position based in Montclair, NJ. The attorney will be responsible for litigating employment law cases, conducting legal research, drafting motions, providing counsel to clients, and representing corporate clients and HR personnel in various employment-related matters. Duties:

  • Litigate labor and employment law cases
  • Conduct legal research on relevant employment law issues
  • Draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
  • Advise clients on labor and employment law matters
  • Represent corporate clients and HR personnel in employment-related disputes
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant labor and employment laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with team members on complex legal issues

Requirements:

  • Experience in labor and employment law and employment litigation
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as LAD (Law Against Discrimination) and CEPA (Conscientious Employee Protection Act)
  • Ability to draft legal motions and conduct effective legal research
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in New Jersey (required)
  • Active Bar membership in New York (preferred)

Skills:

  • Expertise in labor and employment law

  • Litigation experience, particularly in employment-related cases
