Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Private Credit Associate Attorney. The role involves handling a variety of financing transactions, with a focus on cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations. Experience with asset-based financings, restructurings, and workouts is also desirable.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on various private credit and finance matters, including cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.
  • Draft and negotiate loan agreements, credit facilities, and related documentation.
  • Conduct due diligence and provide a comprehensive analysis of financing transactions.
  • Represent clients in negotiations with borrowers, lenders, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in structuring and executing complex financing arrangements.
  • Manage and coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure smooth transaction processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and private credit and finance best practices.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in private credit or finance matters at a nationally recognized law firm or other relevant legal experience.
  • Demonstrated lending experience, with borrower-side exposure considered a plus.
  • Experience with various financing transactions, including cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.
  • Experience with asset-based financings, restructurings, and workouts is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in the state of California.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of private credit and finance law.
  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex financial agreements.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills.
