Job Overview: A law firm in Nashville, TN, is seeking an Attorney with high academic achievement and solid large law firm experience in practicing real estate finance law. The ideal candidate should possess superb writing and communication skills and 5+ years of broad real estate finance experience.

Duties:

  • Conducted legal research and provided counsel on real estate finance matters.
  • Handle loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
  • Manage asset management and workout experience.
  • Run transactions on behalf of lenders from inception through closing and post-closing.
  • Oversee secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in Tennessee or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 5+ years of broad real estate finance experience, preferably in a large law firm setting.
  • Solid understanding of real estate finance law, including loan origination and asset management.
  • Experience in handling secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar in Tennessee or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
