Mid-level Class Action Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm in Minneapolis, MN, seeks a highly skilled Mid-level Class Action Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation experience, particularly in class action defense, and can effectively manage a multi-matter docket. This role requires excellent analytical, writing, and organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client and Professional Communication:

  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence efficiently and responsively.

• Work Product and Performance:

  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
  • Successfully meet deadlines and expectations, performing all required work duties.

• Relationship Management:

  • Foster positive work relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.

• Physical and Sedentary Tasks:

  • Engage in computer-based tasks for extended periods, including on-screen reading and typing.
  • Participate in digital/virtual conference calls and in-person meetings as needed.

• Additional Duties:

  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Educational Background:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, preferably gained while practicing at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Experience managing a multi-matter docket.
  • Proven experience in class action defense.
  • Experience in complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation.
  • Previous federal clerkship is preferred.

• Certifications:

  • Bar admission in Minnesota (MN) is required.
