Job Overview: A law firm seeks a Junior- To Mid-Level Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney to interface directly with counsel and engineers at established and emerging tech clients. The ideal candidate will benefit from knowledge and experience in areas of subject matter such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, rockets and space-oriented payload delivery, automation, computer networking, encryption, graphics and animation, and computer gaming/e-sports.

Job Details:

  • Interface directly with counsel and engineers at both established and emerging tech clients.
  • Utilize knowledge and experience in subject matter areas, including AI, cloud computing, rockets and space-oriented payload delivery, automation, computer networking, encryption, graphics and animation, and computer gaming/e-sports.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in patent prosecution and counseling.
  • Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, applied physics, computer science, or equivalent.
  • Registration to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office, or ability to qualify, is required.
  • Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Must be a member of the Bar in the United States.

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, applied physics, computer science, or equivalent.
  • Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Registration to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office.

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills to interface effectively with counsel and engineers.
  • Knowledge and experience in patent prosecution and counseling.
  • Expertise in AI, cloud computing, rockets and space-oriented payload delivery, automation, computer networking, encryption, graphics and animation, and computer gaming/e-sports.
