Job Overview:
An established, multi-state law firm is seeking a qualified associate attorney to join its Illinois-based practice, focusing on creditors' rights and real estate law. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a high volume of cases in these fields and will play a key role in the firm’s continued growth. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and benefits package, based on experience.

Location:

  • Independance, OH

Duties:

  • Manage a significant volume of cases in creditors' rights and real estate law.
  • Address issues in discovery practice, depositions, and conflict resolution.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, with some travel required.
  • Provide support in appellate matters.
  • Assist in developing relationships to grow the firm’s presence and reputation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure superior legal representation and client support.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Illinois Bar.
  • Newly licensed attorneys will be considered; however, 5+ years of litigation experience is preferred.
  • Ability to handle a significant case volume effectively.
  • Proficient in discovery practice, depositions, and conflict resolution.
  • Appellate experience and familiarity with TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code are preferred.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with the Illinois legal system and commitment to superior client support.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Illinois State Bar is required.
  • Additional Bar licenses are a plus.
