Job Overview: A well-established law firm seeks an experienced Insurance and Reinsurance Litigation Associate Attorney with 4-7 years of experience. This role involves handling complex insurance coverage issues and commercial litigation, particularly under professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers' insurance policies. Duties:

  • Manage and oversee civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, and dispositive motions, and managing all aspects of discovery and discovery motion practice.
  • Take depositions and make court appearances based on experience level.
  • Handle complex insurance coverage matters involving professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers' insurance policies.
  • Develop business and manage client relationships independently.
  • Collaborate with a team to strategize and resolve high-exposure insurance and reinsurance matters.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
  • Extensive experience with civil litigation, including discovery and motion practice.
  • Proven track record of managing cases and client relationships independently.
  • High level of proficiency in legal research, writing, and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to handle complex, high-exposure claims with minimal supervision.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania (or eligible for admission via reciprocity).

  • Demonstrated experience in insurance litigation and reinsurance matters.
