Associate Attorney for a debt collection caseload

A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney for its office in Ann Arbor, MI. Duties

• Prepare and manage court appearances, ensuring timely and effective handling of court calls.
• Handle various legal matters, including motions, contested hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
• Draft, review, and approve a wide range of pleadings, including complaints, motions, discovery documents, and post-judgment supplemental proceedings.
• Collaborate with the legal team to ensure all cases are processed efficiently and in accordance with legal standards.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Michigan.
• Licenses in Kentucky, Indiana, or Ohio are considered a plus but are not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the state of Michigan.
