Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in New York City is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in legal research, discovery, depositions, witness interviews, drafting pleadings and briefs, motion practice, trial preparation, and advocacy.

• Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various litigation matters.
  • Manage discovery processes, including document production and review.
  • Take and defend depositions of witnesses.
  • Conduct interviews with witnesses and clients.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and participate in trials and hearings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Handle case management and administrative tasks as required.

• Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting.
  • Strong preference for experience in commercial litigation, trial, or white collar and investigations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated legal research and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.

• Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
