Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join its team in Pasadena, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of family law experience and be capable of handling various aspects of family law cases, including mediations, hearings, trials, and court appearances. This full-time position offers competitive compensation and opportunities for professional growth within the firm.

Location:

  • Pasadena, TX

Duties:

  • Draft legal documents including correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and other forms.
  • Analyze client issues and work to determine the best course of action based on available legal options.
  • Keep client files organized and ensure the latest updates are accessible to the legal team.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, associate attorneys, paralegals, and other staff to ensure efficient case handling.
  • Perform legal research to support cases as needed.
  • Attend and represent clients in hearings, mediations, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Provide general counsel to clients as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of family law experience.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other attorneys and staff.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a caseload and meet deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas (Texas Bar License required).

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research and document drafting.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with clients and the legal team.
  • Spanish language proficiency (preferred).

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year.
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday schedule.
