Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm is currently seeking an ambitious and skilled Litigation Attorney to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will handle various litigation matters such as wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, breach of contract, and business disputes. Location:

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload involving wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, breach of contract, and business disputes
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Appear in court for hearings, motions, and trials
• Take and defend depositions, attend mediations, and argue motions
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and receive mentorship from experienced partners

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience, with at least one year of experience defending tort claims
• Experience in legal research, document analysis, and drafting complex legal memoranda
• Proficiency in preparing pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal briefs
• Prior experience in depositions, mediations, and court appearances is preferred
• Trial experience is a plus
• Strong communication and advocacy skills with a client-focused mindset
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with the team
• Active membership in the State Bar of Nevada
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the State Bar of Nevada

Skills:

• Civil litigation experience, including defense of tort claims
• Legal research and document analysis
• Pleadings, motions, and legal brief preparation
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Client relationship management
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Courtroom experience, including depositions and trials (preferred)
