A highly respected law firm in San Antonio, TX is seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Immigration Attorney to join its growing immigration team. The Associate Immigration Attorney will be responsible for managing a variety of immigration matters, handling client interactions, and preparing cases for litigation or USCIS procedures. Duties:

• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals, both for detained and non-detained individuals.
• Conduct intake interviews with detained clients at detention centers and manage cases from start to finish.
• Prepare and file various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
• Review and amend immigration petitions and applications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Develop strategic legal solutions for clients and provide legal analysis on potential benefits for their cases.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration law updates and changes.
• Lead consultations with potential clients to assess their immigration needs and formulate a strategic approach.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court hearings and USCIS testimony.
• Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases and petitions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-4 years of experience in Immigration Law.
• Strong record of managing a caseload and advancing legal cases.
• Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle diverse immigration matters, including Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship, and USCIS applications.
• Experience working with Case Management Software is highly preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to Texas State Bar.

Skills:

• Expertise in immigration law and legal procedures.
• Strong analytical and legal writing skills.
• Client-focused with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Proficient in using immigration case management software and other legal tools.
