A law firm in Washington D.C. seeks an Employment Law/Plaintiff's-side Attorney with 1-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and be dedicated to advocating for employees' rights. They will handle various employment-related cases and provide legal representation to plaintiffs.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in employment law matters
  • Handle all aspects of employment litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses
  • Conduct legal research on relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Interview clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in employment disputes
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes
  • Represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations
  • Stay updated on developments in employment law and related areas
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm

Requirements:

  • 1-6 years of experience practicing employment law
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the District of Columbia Bar (or ability to waive in)
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated commitment to advocating for employees' rights

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the District of Columbia Bar (or ability to waive in)
