Job Overview:
A well-established personal injury law firm in Louisville, KY is seeking a results-driven Associate Attorney to join its legal team. This role involves handling a variety of personal injury cases, providing legal representation for injured clients, and ensuring quality service in accordance with firm standards. The position is suited for a candidate with litigation experience and a commitment to ethical and compassionate client advocacy.

Location:

  • Louisville, KY

Duties:

  • Provide legal analysis and counsel related to personal injury matters

  • Represent clients in legal proceedings including civil litigation and hearings

  • Develop client relationships and maintain ongoing communication throughout case progression

  • Prepare and review legal documents including pleadings, depositions, and contracts

  • Evaluate and review new case submissions to determine legal merit and value

  • Monitor case facts to determine insurance coverage and medical needs

  • Strategize on favorable resolutions and ensure timely progression of cases

  • Conduct legal research and remain up to date on relevant laws and regulations

  • Collaborate with legal support staff and attorneys for effective case management

  • Attend court sessions, client homes, hospitals, or incident scenes as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of legal experience; 2 years preferred

  • Experience in personal injury litigation strongly preferred

  • Active license to practice law in Kentucky, Tennessee, or New Mexico

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Ability to handle high caseloads and meet multiple deadlines

  • Availability to travel locally for client and case needs

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Undergraduate degree from a four-year institution

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in Kentucky, Tennessee, or New Mexico

  • Additional state licenses are considered a plus

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of personal injury and civil litigation practices

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms (e.g., Litify)
