A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its team in Texas. This role is ideal for a motivated attorney with a passion for managing cases through all stages of litigation, from pre-suit to settlement. The successful candidate will handle a diverse caseload, provide strategic legal advice, and demonstrate strong communication skills with clients and colleagues. Duties:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of litigation cases from initial investigation to successful settlement or trial.
  • Provide legal advice to clients, ensuring clear and effective communication regarding case status and strategy.
  • Prepare and draft motions, responses, written discovery, and pleadings.
  • Conduct research and gather evidence to support case development, including interviewing clients, witnesses, and experts.
  • Assist in negotiating settlements and preparing for litigation.
  • Maintain professional and client-focused communication, ensuring the timely completion of all assignments and tasks.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of civil litigation experience, including first-party insurance.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in drafting motions, responses to motions, and written discovery.
  • Ability to manage case development and strategically plan for litigation.
  • Experience with client and witness interviews, fact investigations, and overall case strategy.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice in the State of Texas (required).
  • Admission to practice in Texas federal district courts is highly preferred.
  • Admission to practice in other states and federal district courts of other states is preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent research and writing abilities.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with a focus on client relations.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on case strategy and effective management.
  • Ability to handle complex litigation cases and effectively manage multiple responsibilities.
