Local Counsel Civil Litigation

Job Overview: A Texas law firm is seeking experienced attorneys admitted to practice in Texas to serve as Local Counsel for various civil litigation matters. This part-time, semi-remote role allows flexibility for attorneys to work from home or other suitable locations, with minimal in-person appearances required. Location:

• Dallas, TX

Duties:

• Handle general civil litigation, commercial, real estate-related, and family law matters independently
• Represent clients in court when required, including depositions and other in-person appearances
• Assume full responsibility for managing cases, from initiation to resolution
• Provide legal research, writing, and oral advocacy in litigation matters
• Work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring client satisfaction
• Serve as lead counsel when needed for litigation cases

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the Texas State Bar
• No history of professional discipline
• Reside in one of the specified Texas counties or geographic areas
• Ability to work independently and manage cases with minimal supervision
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience in handling civil litigation matters, including commercial, real estate, and family law cases
• Willingness to serve as lead counsel in litigation matters when required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership with the Texas State Bar (required)
