Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their team. This attorney will handle high-value personal injury cases, including all aspects of litigation in both state and federal courts. The role involves pre-trial preparation, court appearances, depositions, mediations, negotiations, and trial responsibilities.

Location:
Miami, FL

Duties:

• Meet with clients and file lawsuits
• Propound and respond to written discovery
• Schedule and attend fact witness depositions
• Retain and attend expert depositions
• Schedule and attend all hearings
• Prepare for and attend mediations
• Prepare cases for trial and try cases to verdict
• Prepare and file post-trial motions
• Attend file audits, litigation attorney meetings, and trial clinics

Requirements:

• A license in good standing to practice law in Florida
• Proven experience as a Personal Injury Litigator
• Minimum of 2 jury trials as first chair, with a proven track record of success
• Ability to manage a large and active caseload from filing through verdict
• Success in providing direction and guidance to a team of staff
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent negotiation and research abilities
• Strong courtroom presence and eagerness to try cases

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Florida Bar License in good standing

Skills:

• Litigation experience in Personal Injury cases
• Strong legal research and analytical skills
• Negotiation skills for settlement and trial preparation
• Expertise in preparing and presenting cases for trial
• Leadership and team management skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
