Family Law Associate Attorney

Location:

Duties:

• Manage significant client contact, from post-intake through discovery and conclusion
• Prepare, draft, and file legal documents on behalf of clients
• Advise clients on the legal implications of divorce law and other family law matters
• Negotiate settlements and assist in resolving disputes
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal standards and regulations
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law

Requirements:

• Previous experience in law
• Familiarity with legal documents and procedures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients and effectively manage relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois

Skills:

• Proficient in legal research, drafting, and writing
• Strong litigation skills, especially in family law matters
• Client-focused with the ability to manage a diverse caseload
• Ability to negotiate settlements and provide strategic legal counsel
• Familiarity with Cook County Domestic Relations Division or collar counties is a plus
