Junior Trademark Intellectual Property Associate Attorney

A law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a Junior Trademark Intellectual Property Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience. The ideal candidate must possess superior analytical skills, strong academic credentials, and excellent oral, writing, and interpersonal skills.

Duties:

• Conducting trademark searches and providing clearance opinions.
• Drafting and filing trademark applications with the USPTO.
• Managing trademark portfolios and advising clients on trademark prosecution strategies.
• Assisting with trademark enforcement actions and litigation matters.
• Drafting IP-related agreements, including licensing and assignment agreements.
• Conducting due diligence for corporate transactions involving intellectual property.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the District of Columbia Bar or eligibility to sit for the next DC Bar exam.
• 1-3 years of experience in trademark law and intellectual property matters.
• Experience with trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with copyright law, domain name disputes, or other areas of intellectual property law.
• Experience with international trademark laws and procedures.
