Job Overview:
A national law firm is currently seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to handle personal injury litigation matters in the Boise, ID area. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated litigator to work on a wide variety of cases, manage their own caseload, and prepare for and participate in trials. The role is ideal for an attorney who values autonomy, litigation experience, and client-focused service in a dynamic legal environment.

Location:

  • Boise, ID

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury litigation matters including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, and wrongful death

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

  • Conduct and defend depositions

  • Represent clients in court hearings and prepare cases for trial

  • Collaborate with legal assistants to build case strategies and prepare witnesses and evidence

  • Conduct legal research and draft legal briefs, memoranda, and trial-related documents

  • Maintain consistent communication with clients to provide updates and manage expectations

  • Engage in settlement negotiations and advocate for favorable resolutions

  • Ensure compliance with applicable court rules and jurisdictional procedures

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of experience in personal injury litigation

  • Ability to manage full litigation caseload independently

  • Proven litigation skills, including motion practice and trial preparation

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on client service

  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Idaho

Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of personal injury law and litigation procedures

  • Strong legal research, drafting, and courtroom skills

  • Effective communicator and negotiator

  • Proficient in using case management software and legal tech tools

  • Spanish fluency preferred, but not required
