A law firm in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Immigration Attorney to manage a diverse caseload. The successful candidate will focus on family-based immigration cases, including T visas and VAWA cases. The successful candidate will engage directly with clients, providing exceptional customer service and legal advice to undocumented Mexicans and Central Americans. This role requires a strong passion for humanitarian immigration options, leadership capabilities, and the ability to thrive under pressure.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload on family-based immigration cases, including T visas and VAWA cases.
• Provide legal advice and exceptional customer service to undocumented Mexicans and Central Americans.
• Conduct thorough research and writing and develop case strategies to ensure high standards and successful outcomes.
• Lead and manage a dedicated team, driving success and maintaining the firm's 100% success rate in filings.
• Interact daily with clients and team members to provide updates and gather necessary information.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws and procedures.
• Advocate for clients in various legal settings, including immigration courts and interviews.
• Prepare and file all necessary legal documents accurately and timely.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in the United States.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in immigration law, focusing on humanitarian options.
• Proven ability to manage a large caseload and lead a team effectively.
• Strong passion for humanitarian immigration issues, particularly in supporting victims of labor trafficking and extreme cruelty.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with a state bar association.

Certifications

• Certification in immigration law (preferred, but not required).
• Ongoing legal education in immigration law and related fields.
