Job Overview:

A plaintiff-side litigation firm based in Farmington, Connecticut is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its team. This role is focused on handling workers’ compensation and personal injury cases across several Connecticut counties. The position offers a unique opportunity for a motivated, client-centric attorney to develop hands-on litigation experience in a supportive environment. There are no billable hour requirements, and the role includes comprehensive training and mentorship.

Location:

  • Farmington, Connecticut

Duties:

  • Handle a full caseload of plaintiff-side workers’ compensation and personal injury matters

  • Attend hearings on behalf of clients in various jurisdictions statewide

  • Conduct client consultations (in-person or virtual), focusing on issue spotting and case retention

  • Take and defend depositions

  • Draft and argue motions in court

  • Prepare settlement demands and negotiate favorable outcomes

  • Manage 50–100 active workers’ compensation files

  • Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategy and client representation plans

Requirements:

  • Optimistic, resilient, and client-driven mindset

  • Should have 1 year of experience

  • Strong work ethic and desire to grow as a trial attorney

  • Willingness to take on responsibility and learn quickly

  • Recent law school graduates or those pending bar admission will be considered

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active or pending admission to the Connecticut Bar (preferred)

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral advocacy

  • Ability to work independently and handle a high-volume caseload

  • Practical problem-solving and issue-spotting capabilities
