Entry-Level Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
An esteemed law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join their growing team. The attorney will handle a diverse caseload, assist clients with their immigration needs, and collaborate with experienced professionals within the firm.

Location:

• Dallas, TX

Duties:

• Explain immigration law concepts and present strategic solutions to clients.
• Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage a caseload of immigration cases, ensuring timely progression and resolution.
• Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at immigration detention centers.
• Prepare various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
• Review and adjust immigration application packets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations regarding changes in immigration law.
• Meet with potential clients for consultations, determining strategic plans for their immigration cases.
• Develop strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony.
• Provide legal analysis to determine potential benefits and strategies for cases.
• Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration-related matters.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in Immigration Law.
• Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and move cases forward.
• Team player who is collaborative and willing to work with fellow associates.
• Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and client-focused approach.
• Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
• Experience with case management software is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Texas (active and in good standing).

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Knowledge of immigration law, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
• Ability to effectively represent clients in Immigration Court and USCIS proceedings.
• Skilled in preparing legal briefs and immigration applications.
• Excellent communication and client interaction skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
