A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Attorney to advocate for clients and negotiate favorable settlements in personal injury cases. This role requires exceptional negotiation skills, a client-focused mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. The attorney will play a key role in ensuring client satisfaction while upholding the firm's mission and values.

Duties

  • Represent clients in dealings with liability insurance providers to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Review demand packets to ensure accuracy, thoroughness, and alignment with case objectives.
  • Establish criteria for settlement demands, prepare negotiation cases, and present demands to insurers.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients with professionalism and strategic insight.
  • Consult with the Chief Operating Officer on complex or unusual cases, including denied claims.
  • Collaborate with litigation attorneys on cases transitioning to litigation.
  • Supervise and mentor case managers and legal assistants to ensure efficient case progression.
  • Maintain a strong focus on client satisfaction and professional standards.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the firm’s operations.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience practicing personal injury law.
  • Proficient in negotiation, with the ability to present compelling arguments and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong critical thinking, active listening, and analytical skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of legal systems, including laws, codes, precedents, and regulations, as well as liability insurance practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust with clients and colleagues.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong sense of motivation and pride in delivering high-quality work.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active law license in Utah is mandatory.
  • Licensure in Idaho and/or Washington is a plus.
