Job Overview: A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a highly skilled senior associate attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice, represent clients in various legal proceedings, and mentor junior attorneys.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings.
  • Represent clients in court, arbitration, mediation, and other legal proceedings.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in laws and regulations and advise clients accordingly.
  • Supervise and provide mentorship to junior attorneys and support staff.
  • Manage multiple projects and cases simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are exceeded.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar or willingness to take the Bar Exam.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing law, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Strong research, writing, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a specialized area of law relevant to the firm's practice areas.
  • Proven track record of successfully handling complex legal matters.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
