Junior Product Liability And Class Action Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Product Liability and Class Action Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Bloomfield Hills, MI. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience and handle various responsibilities, including motion practice, discovery, brief writing, and trial preparation. Preference will be given to candidates with defense experience in catastrophic injury cases and those with experience in the automotive industry and e-discovery.

Responsibilities:

• Manage motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions.
• Oversee discovery processes, including document review and production.
• Write and prepare legal briefs and other court documents.
• Prepare company witnesses for depositions and take and defend depositions.
• Attend court appearances and assist with client interaction.
• Contribute to trial preparation and participate in trial proceedings.
• Ensure thorough case management, including fact investigation and discovery.
• Deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in product liability and class action litigation.
• Defense experience in catastrophic injury cases is highly preferred.
• Experience within the automotive industry and e-discovery is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage all aspects of case management effectively.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Admission to practice law in Michigan is required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Michigan State Bar.
