Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:

A leading law firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior Litigation Attorney with 10+ years of litigation experience. Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation from initiation to trial.

• Manage cases involving general liability, professional liability, and/or employment claims.

• Provide legal counsel and develop case strategies.

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents including motions, pleadings, and briefs.

• Participate in court appearances, depositions, and negotiations.

• Collaborate with clients and legal teams to ensure effective representation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience.

• New York Bar admission (NY).

• Experience in any of the following areas preferred:

  • General liability

  • NY Labor Law

  • Construction defect

  • Professional liability

  • Labor and employment

  • Medical malpractice

• Prior experience at an insurance defense litigation firm is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active New York State Bar membership.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Familiarity with Lexis software.
