Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage practice group in the Philadelphia office. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation, research, and writing skills, with a focus on insurance coverage matters. The role involves handling complex legal issues, representing clients in various forums, and preparing substantial legal documents. Location:

• Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

• Review and analyze insurance claims and causes of action
• Conduct extensive legal research and draft briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
• Meet the annual billable requirement of 1,950 hours
• Represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and during depositions
• Draft and respond to discovery requests
• Collaborate with expert witnesses for case preparation
• Prepare for and attend trials
• Travel may be required for court appearances or depositions

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in insurance coverage law preferred (but not required)
• J.D. from an ABA-approved law school
• Admission to practice in the state of Pennsylvania (other state admissions are a plus)
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid research, writing, and oral communication abilities
• Strong work ethic and ability to self-manage
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Must respond promptly to emails and phone inquiries
• Excellent client communication skills and professional telephone manner

Education:

• J.D. from an ABA-approved law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (other state admissions are a plus)
