A law firm seeks a talented Financial Services & Securities Enforcement Associate to join its growing team in Charlotte, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a strong litigation background to engage in high-stakes cases involving financial institutions, securities fraud, regulatory matters, and more. Duties

  • Represent financial institutions in high-exposure litigation matters, including securities fraud, lender liability, loan workouts, and class actions.
  • Handle regulatory issues and disputes related to the financial services industry, including matters involving credit card companies and asset securitizations.
  • Work on diverse cases, such as foreclosures, business torts, and intellectual property disputes within the financial services sector.
  • Collaborate closely with internal legal teams and clients, providing sound legal advice and strategic insights.
  • Manage multiple complex cases simultaneously, ensuring effective and timely resolution.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in litigation within a top-tier law firm.
  • Candidates with judicial clerkship experience are also encouraged to apply, especially those available to join in fall 2025.
  • Experience with sophisticated litigation, including large exposure financial cases, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with financial services, financial fraud, or securities law is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong academic record, alongside demonstrated proficiency in legal writing and oral advocacy.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina (NC Bar required).

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Solid academic credentials are expected.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar.
