Job Title: Immigration Attorney

Duties:

  • Deliver comprehensive consultations by clearly interpreting immigration laws and identifying viable legal avenues

  • Advocate for clients before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals, including detained and non-detained individuals

  • Conduct on-site interviews and intake assessments at detention facilities

  • Draft and file applications for various immigration benefits, including family-based petitions and defensive filings

  • Perform detailed reviews of immigration submissions, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment

  • Prepare legal memoranda, motions, and appellate briefs across a spectrum of immigration proceedings

  • Guide clients and witnesses through the process of court appearances and USCIS interviews

  • Coordinate with community agencies, law enforcement, and legal service networks to share updates on immigration policy

  • Maintain direct client communications and foster trust throughout legal proceedings

  • Manage deadlines, case updates, and documentation using case management software

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas

  • 1-4 years of direct experience in immigration law

  • Demonstrated capacity to manage a busy case docket efficiently

  • Professional demeanor with a commitment to client service

  • Experience representing individuals in removal proceedings and family-based immigration matters

  • Proficiency in preparing a wide range of immigration filings

  • Familiarity with legal research and writing specific to immigration litigation

  • Preferred fluency in both English and Spanish

  • Experience using legal case management software is advantageous

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in Texas

Skills:
