Mid-level Labor and Employment Associate Attorney

A law firm in Cleveland, OH, is seeking a Mid-level Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 4-7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for representing employee organizations in traditional labor matters and will possess a superior academic record, a strong work ethic, and excellent writing and research skills.

Duties:

• Represent employee organizations in traditional labor matters.
• Participate in collective bargaining negotiations.
• Handle grievance arbitrations and resolve disputes.
• Manage and file unfair labor practice charges.
• Draft and submit petitions for recognition.
• Handle various administrative matters related to labor and employment law.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding labor and employment issues.
• Stay updated on changes and developments in labor and employment law.
• Work collaboratively with other attorneys and legal staff on cases and projects.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in labor and employment law.
• Experience or strong interest in representing employee organizations.
• Proficiency in handling traditional labor matters, including collective bargaining, grievance arbitrations, and unfair labor practice charges.
• Demonstrated ability to manage petitions for recognition and other administrative matters.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
