Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a dedicated Litigation Associate Attorney to join its expanding team in Gaithersburg, MD. This position is ideal for candidates with 1 to 3 years of litigation experience. Duties

• Manage a litigation caseload of approximately 50-75 cases, focusing on Worker’s Compensation and Personal Injury claims.
• Draft all necessary court documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
• Prepare clients for trial by providing guidance and support throughout the litigation process.
• Represent clients in court, predominantly in district court, with occasional appearances in circuit court.
• Collaborate with team members to develop effective litigation strategies and case management processes.

Requirements

• Admission to the Maryland Bar is required; admission in Washington, D.C. and Virginia is a plus.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant litigation experience.
• Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Maryland Bar; additional admissions in D.C. or Virginia are a plus.
