A law firm seeks a skilled Associate Attorney specializing in Labor and Employment Law to join its growing team in Syosset, NY. The ideal candidate will possess 2 to 7 years of relevant experience, particularly in employment discrimination and wage and hour matters. Duties

• Represent clients in labor and employment matters, focusing on discrimination and wage and hour cases.
• Conduct depositions and manage the discovery process effectively.
• Draft and oppose Motions for Summary Judgment, demonstrating strong legal writing skills.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude while handling challenging cases.
• Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for case management and resolution.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 to 7 years of experience in Labor and Employment Law.
• Proven experience representing clients in employment discrimination cases (3 years required).
• Experience in wage and hour litigation is preferred (3 years preferred).
• Familiarity with federal sector employment issues is a plus, but not mandatory.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the state bar where practicing.
