Job Description

Duties:

• Represent policyholders in insurance coverage matters.
• Review and analyze insurance policies.
• Handle insurance claims and litigate insurance coverage disputes.
• Draft and negotiate contractual indemnity and insurance provisions.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on complex insurance cases.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in insurance coverage matters.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent writing and overall communication abilities.
• Familiarity with construction insurance coverage and corporate transactional work (preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of successful client representation in insurance matters.
• Member in good standing of the New York Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Completion of relevant coursework in insurance law is advantageous.

Certifications:

• An active New York Bar license is required.
