Job Title: Patent Prosecution and Litigation Agent

Job Overview:
A leading law firm is looking for a qualified Patent Prosecution and Litigation Agent with expertise in intellectual property (IP) law to join its dynamic team. This position involves both patent prosecution and litigation, focusing on areas related to electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and similar technical fields. The role will provide the opportunity to work on high-profile cases while contributing to the growth and success of the firm's intellectual property practice.

Duties:

• Handle patent prosecution and litigation matters related to electrical engineering and software technologies.
• Draft and file patent applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Work with clients to manage IP portfolios and advise on patent strategy.
• Support litigation teams in the preparation and filing of patent-related claims.
• Conduct legal research and draft opinions related to patent law and technology.
• Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to understand innovations and translate them into effective patent applications.
• Guide on patent infringement and validity issues.

Requirements:

• Must be a registered Patent Agent with the USPTO.
• 3-6 years of patent prosecution experience, including application drafting.
• Experience in drafting patent applications for innovations in networking, wireless technologies (3G/4G/5G), or similar technical areas is preferred.
• Strong technical background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and research abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Skills:

• Expertise in patent prosecution and IP law.
• Experience with patent litigation processes is a plus.
• Solid understanding of wireless technologies and networking protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex technical information.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
