Job Overview
A dynamic law firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Probate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for estate planning, probate, and business law, with the ability to lead a team while managing a caseload independently. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing firm and make a meaningful impact on clients’ lives through effective legal representation.

Duties

  • Communicate effectively with clients and referral partners.
  • Train and manage a team of legal professionals.
  • Advise clients on estate and trust administration, including uncontested and contested probate matters.
  • Interact confidently with high-net-worth clients.
  • Manage your caseload with minimal oversight.
  • Draft estate plans and advise clients on estate planning matters.
  • Develop strategies leading to the efficient resolution of cases.
  • Negotiate and settle cases.
  • Draft pleadings and discovery requests and responses.
  • Take depositions and represent clients in mediation, hearings, and trials.

Requirements

  • Admitted to the Georgia Bar and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in estate planning, probate, or business law.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to find mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, including professionalism in client interactions.
  • Strong ethical compass.
  • Working knowledge of finance, investments, and insurance.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A self-starter with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, emotional intelligence, and good judgment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in Georgia and in good standing with the Georgia Bar.
