Duties:

  • Assist in representing clients in insurance defense matters, including personal injury litigation (plaintiff or defense).
  • Handle court appearances and depositions.
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Participate in case strategy development and assist in trial preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries for ongoing cases.
  • Manage case files and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to support litigation efforts and client objectives.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as directed.

Requirements:

  • 0 to 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation (plaintiff or defense) preferred, but not required.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Ability to handle court appearances and depositions.
  • Strong writing and legal research skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in civil litigation and trial practice.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Connecticut Bar (Required).
