Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Evaluation: Assess and manage cases related to professional liability, including insurance coverage disputes, cyber/data breach incidents, and miscellaneous professional liability matters.
  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and legal arguments.
  • Drafting Documents: Prepare and draft legal documents such as briefs, motions, and pleadings.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to provide legal advice, updates, and guidance on their cases.
  • Representation: Represent clients in legal proceedings, including court appearances, depositions, and negotiations.
  • Case Management: Manage case files, including organizing evidence, scheduling, and coordinating with other legal professionals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant regulations and industry standards affecting professional liability.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and other team members to develop case strategies and solutions.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 1-5 years of relevant legal experience in professional liability, including insurance coverage, cyber/data breach, and related areas.
  • Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Certifications: Admitted to practice in the state of Connecticut; admission in additional states is a plus.
