Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview
A prestigious civil defense litigation firm in the Mid-Atlantic region is seeking a highly experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to join its Philadelphia office. This firm specializes in a wide range of civil defense cases, including professional liability, labor and employment, medical malpractice, casualty, and general liability coverage. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in litigation and a Pennsylvania Bar license. Duties

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, from initiation to trial
• Handle cases related to general liability, professional liability, and/or employment claims
• Collaborate with colleagues to prepare and execute legal strategies
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents
• Manage case files and communicate regularly with clients and opposing counsel
• Attend hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials as necessary
• Provide legal advice on a wide range of matters to clients in various industries

Requirements

• 10+ years of litigation experience, preferably in civil defense
• Must be admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar
• Experience in general liability, professional liability, casualty, construction defect, labor and employment, medical malpractice, or related fields is highly preferred
• Strong legal writing, organizational, and research skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Experience at an insurance defense firm is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with LexisNexis software

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Must be admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania
