Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Securities Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. This role involves representing clients across various financial sectors in securities disputes, regulatory matters, and litigation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in securities law and a strong ability to manage complex legal cases with precision and professionalism.

Duties

• Represent broker-dealers, life insurance carriers, financial institutions, and investment advisory firms in securities and shareholder litigation.

• Handle FINRA customer arbitration claims related to suitability allegations, unauthorized trading, and sales practice violations.

• Manage intra-industry business and employment disputes before FINRA, including wrongful termination, defamation, Form U4/U5 expungement requests, and whistleblower retaliation claims.

• Oversee customer arbitrations and civil litigation concerning life insurance policy disputes.

• Conducted legal research, draft pleadings, and prepared legal arguments to support client positions.

• Advise clients on regulatory compliance and risk management strategies.

• Collaborate with a team of attorneys to develop case strategies and ensure optimal client representation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in securities litigation and arbitration.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex litigation matters.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• High level of attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.

• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Bar license in good standing.
