Duties:

  • Manage construction litigation cases from inception through resolution, including drafting and filing motions, handling discovery requests, and preparing for and attending court proceedings.
  • Conducted depositions, prepared witnesses, and represented clients in depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Actively market the firm to potential clients through outreach and networking opportunities.
  • Research and analyze legal issues related to construction disputes, ensuring thorough and accurate case preparation.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to support case strategies and client goals.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and case law affecting construction litigation.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in construction litigation.
  • Proven experience in case management, including drafting motions, handling discovery, and managing court proceedings.
  • Strong academic credentials and writing skills.
  • Excellent research and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Demonstrated interest in business development and marketing the firm to new and potential clients.
  • Admission to the Illinois Bar is required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Illinois Bar.
