This attorney will provide expert legal counsel on a range of renewable energy projects, focusing on facilities operations and power purchase agreements. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities, as well as knowledge of smart grid technology, energy storage, and energy efficiency. A strong commitment to client service, effective interpersonal collaboration, and clear communication is essential. The position requires a JD degree, active Bar membership, and a portable book of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage power purchase agreements and other essential contracts related to renewable energy.
  • Offer legal guidance on facilities operations, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
  • Advise clients on smart grid technology, energy storage systems, and energy efficiency measures.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on current and emerging trends in renewable energy.
  • Collaborate with clients, industry stakeholders, and internal teams to resolve legal issues and ensure project success.
  • Manage and address legal disputes and challenges associated with renewable energy projects.
  • Develop and maintain a portable book of business, demonstrating a strong client base in the renewable energy sector.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the Bar.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in renewable energy law.
  • Proven track record of a portable book of business.
  • Extensive knowledge of wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell technologies.
  • Familiarity with smart grid technology, energy storage solutions, and energy efficiency.
