Privacy and Cyber Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a Privacy and Cyber Litigation Associate to join its practice group. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of significant litigation and case management experience in privacy and cyber-related matters. This position involves managing day-to-day case activities, leading investigations, drafting legal documents, and negotiating with opposing counsel. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both smaller and larger projects and maintaining client relationships.

Location:

• Houston, TX

Duties:

• Manage day-to-day activities for privacy and cyber-related cases
• Lead fact investigations and develop litigation strategies
• Draft pleadings, including answers, motions to dismiss, and motions for summary judgment
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Negotiate with opposing counsel
• Deliver smaller projects with limited supervision and assist with larger projects
• Maintain and manage client relationships

Requirements:

• 2 to 5 years of significant litigation and case management experience
• Experience with the Fair Credit Reporting Act or other privacy-related statutes is a plus
• Strong academic and professional credentials
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
• Comfortable managing client relationships
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
• Must be in good standing in the state where practicing

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in the state where practicing
