Duties:

  • Represent clients in all stages of intellectual property litigation, focusing on patent disputes.
  • Handle the preparation, filing, and management of legal briefs and motions.
  • Conduct depositions, manage discovery, and oversee trials or hearings.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys to develop strategies and provide legal counsel to clients.
  • Collaborate with experts, clients, and other stakeholders in complex technical matters.
  • Stay updated on IP laws, case precedents, and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in IP and patent litigation.
  • Proven track record of managing patent litigation cases from start to finish.
  • Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal and technical concepts.
  • Experience with PTAB disputes and CAFC clerkship experience is highly preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar (or ability to obtain admission upon hire).

Skills:

  • Expertise in intellectual property and patent law.
  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze and present complex technical information.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and deadlines.
