Associate Attorney needed for Purchase office

A law firm in Purchase, NY, is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. The Associate Attorney will handle a diverse caseload under the guidance of senior partners, focusing on litigation matters including drafting motions, conducting depositions, and preparing for trials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload with supervision from senior partners.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memorandums.
• Attend hearings, court conferences, and mediations.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Attend inspections and consultations with expert witnesses.
• Prepare trial materials and participate in trials when required.

Requirements:

• Prior litigation experience is required.
• Superior analytical and communication skills.
• Admission to the New York State Bar is mandatory.
• Certification for admission to the New York State Bar or admission to Connecticut Bar is a plus.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar is mandatory.
