Civil Litigation / Insurance Defense Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm based in Orlando, FL is seeking a Civil Litigation / Insurance Defense Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing legal documents, conducting research, attending legal proceedings, and providing counsel to clients in civil litigation and insurance defense matters.

Duties:

• Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings.
• Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior attorneys.
• Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
• Communicate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
• Maintain client files to ensure up-to-date information is available to other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Florida Bar Admission.
