Duties:

• Provide legal counsel to clients, explaining their rights and advising on case strategies.
• Represent clients in pretrial hearings, offering guidance and strategic insights post-hearing.
• Handle court appearances, trial preparation, witness interviews, and legal research.
• Analyze legal precedents to assess the likely outcomes of cases.
• Manage a caseload, ensuring timely progression of all cases.
• Gather evidence and build strong cases in defense of clients.
• Prepare clients for depositions and strategize case goals.
• Collaborate with colleagues to craft effective defense strategies and legal arguments.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in criminal defense, including law school clinics, internships, or volunteer work.
• Ability to effectively manage a caseload and move legal cases forward.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with a focus on client interaction.
• Team-oriented mindset, open to collaborating and supporting colleagues.
• Experience with case management software is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
