Job Overview:
A well-established law firm located in Burlington, VT, is actively seeking a Corporate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and transactional matters. This role requires a proactive, client-focused individual with excellent communication skills, a sharp intellect, and a desire for professional growth.

Duties:

• Provide expert legal counsel on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and business transactions.
• Advise clients on strategic planning, legal compliance, and risk management.
• Draft and review corporate documents, agreements, and contracts.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on corporate law trends and best practices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Collaborate with team members on complex legal matters.
• Participate in negotiations and dispute resolutions when necessary.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of corporate law experience, including M&A and transactional work.
• Proven ability to handle client-facing responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous learning.

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Vermont.
