Duties

• Advise clients on their legal rights and draft legal documents pertaining to their case.
• Attend pretrial hearings and counsel clients on strategies following each hearing.
• Manage court appearances, trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and conducting legal research.
• Analyze case outcomes based on legal precedents and assess potential benefits for clients.
• Oversee the management of a caseload and ensure the efficient handling of cases.
• Prepare legal analysis for clients, exploring case benefits and legal options.
• Accumulate evidence to support client positions and argue against prosecution charges.
• Prepare clients for depositions, set case strategy goals, and coordinate with witnesses and experts.

Requirements

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in criminal defense.
• Proven experience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to foster positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in California (required).
